Bunchly

Privacy policy

Last updated October 21, 2026

Bunchly is built so that your family's information stays yours. Most of it never leaves your iPhone, and what does leave is locked so that we can't read it. There are no ads, no tracking and no analytics in Bunchly, and we never sell or share your information.

What stays on your iPhone

Sharing with your family, babysitters and groups

When you share Bunchly with your family, a babysitter or grandparent, or a group like a trip, each change is locked (end-to-end encrypted) on your iPhone with a key that only the phones you invited have. Our server stores the locked copies so the other phones can pick them up. We can't read them.

To pass changes along, the server does see a random ID for each phone (no name, email or phone number), which groups that ID belongs to, the size and time of each change, and your internet address. Invite links carry the key after the #, which browsers and apps never send to a server. The server keeps only a scrambled form of each invite code, and every invite expires after 48 hours.

Babysitters and grandparents get a separate key and see only what helpers need: names and allergies, the routine, emergency contacts, planned meals, notes marked for caregivers, and reminders that aren't a parent's.

When you stop sharing, your phone leaves the group. When the last person leaves, everything stored for that group is deleted from the server.

Daycares, schools and clubs you follow

If you follow an organizer with their code, Bunchly downloads their public posts. Following doesn't tell the organizer, or us, who you are.

Organizers who post updates sign in with their email address. We keep that email and the organizer's name, city, website, phone and posts, and show the posts to families who have their code.

Children

Kids don't have accounts in Bunchly. Parents add kids' details, which stay on the family's phones and in the locked copies described above.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects what leaves your iPhone, we'll tell you in the app first.
